One of the things we’ve realised from all the online comments over lockdown is that not everyone is already a patient here at JL Dental Care.
So, over the next few fortnight we’ll introduce the team (which we've recently done on social media) and tell you a bit more about the people behind the names or with all the PPE currently worn, the people behind the masks!
We’ll feature our dentists in the coming days who will tell you a bit more about the treatments we offer and then focus on our amazing nursing and hygienist team.
To kick it all off we’re starting with a very important member of JL Dental Care. Our Practice Manager, Karen.
You'll often see her "front of house" at reception and she will most likely be the first person you make contact with either on the phone, via email or at the door.
Here, Karen tells us in her own words a little bit about herself.
"I started in dentistry over 30 years ago in a small private practice. I then went on to train at The Eastman Dental Hospital, and qualified as a dental nurse in 1989. After a short career break to have my two sons I began working with Jonathan at his previous practice in 2003.
I love being the first port of call for our new and existing patients. I enjoy a lovely relationship with lots of our patients and many are shocked and surprised when I recognise their voices on the telephone!
It may sound cliched, but we are like a great big family. One of the things I love most is how much fun we have here. This is evident in the Friday Fun videos you can find on our social media pages. It has also been great to be involved in some of the more serious dental health videos particularly the ones focusing on children's teeth and brushing.
There is no doubt that Covid has been the most challenging period in my career yet my role has meant I’ve helped to keep our patients dentally fit whilst also protecting their health and keeping them and our team safe.
If you have any questions about us, or what we do, I will be delighted to talk to you. Please call me on 020 8958 0136."
