Covid-19 March '21 Update

Over each of the lockdown periods we have written to you with updates regarding the practice and how we were taking positive steps to keep you and our team safe. Rather than repeat any of the information we have previously sent out you can click here to read our last update.

What has changed since that last message we sent is the success of the vaccine rollout and the sharp decrease in Covid-19 cases we have seen across the country. Of course, Boris Johnson has also now announced his route out of Lockdown which should see a significant easing of restrictions by summer. What has been made clear however, is that even when a level of normality returns there will still be certain measures in place like the wearing of a face mask and social distancing.

This means that our precautions will have to remain in place regarding limiting the number of people in the practice. We would therefore remind you that we can only allow access during your allotted appointment time so remind you not to arrive early for your appointment. While we would never want to leave a patient outside waiting in poor weather, we are legally obliged to ensure strict social distancing.

We are booked many weeks in advance due to having fewer appointments available because of the extra measures we have in place. Therefore, if you do need to cancel an appointment, we would ask for as much notice as possible to allow somebody else the opportunity to use it. Any appointment cancelled with very short notice given, or if you fail to attend at all, except for emergency reasons will have to be charged for.

We send out email and text reminders as a courtesy, but the ultimate responsibility for remembering your appointment lies with you.

I would urge all of our patients to stay safe and stay home in order to remain healthy. We are seeing light at the end of the tunnel and brighter days are ahead. I look forward to seeing you at your next appointment.
